Kim Kardashian Supports Brendan Dassey of ‘Making A Murderer’
The Netflix crime series Making a Murderer took the world by storm back in 2015. The documentary series revolved around Brendan Dassey being convicted of murdering photographer Teresa Halbach in 2007. He is serving a life sentence in a Wisconsin prison with no chance of parole until 2048. There were lots of opinions and discussions about whether or not Dassey was innocent.
It's much too complicated to explain the many, many details about the case, so we recommend watching it - if there is anyone left out there that haven't seen it. Dassey's attorneys have stated that his confession was coerced and shouldn't be in jail. His attorney, Laura Nirider, announced they have filed a petition for clemency to the state's governor, Tony Evers.
Kardashian has voiced she supports Dassey on Twitter. One tweet wrote "#BringBrendanHome". She also tweeted Governor Evers pleading him to read the handwritten letter Dassey wrote.
This isn't the first time she has helped attain clemency for someone. She helped Alice Marie Johnson attain clemency after serving 21 years for a nonviolent drug offense. Looks like Kim is well on her way to becoming a lawyer.
