Jared Leto Upset By Joaquin Phoenix’s ‘Joker’ Movie
Jared Leto got to play the legendary Batman villain in the 2016 film Suicide Squad. Apparently he wasn't so happy with the new Joker film starring Joaquin Phoenix.
A Suicide Squad spin-off that would have starred Leto has the Joker was announced in 2018, but Warner Bros. cut it from its list of upcoming projects. It also cut a Harley Quinn & Joker movie that would have starred Leto with Margot Robbie.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor felt "alienated" by Warner Bros. decision to greenlight the Joaquin Phoenix version. Leto will also not appear in the upcoming Suicide Squad sequel.
