The beloved Fred Rogers was the host/creator/writer of the preschool TV show Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood. He taught children about kindness, ethics, civility, and other important life lessons. He died in 2003, but not before receiving the Presidential Medal of Freedom the prior year.
