Awkwardly Memorable Red Carpet Moments That Prove Celebrities Are Just Normal People
It's amazing to see celebrities in awkward moments since they usually seem so glamorous. But there are times when they prove to the world they're just regular people, tripping over their shoes, giving awkward handshakes, and goofing around with their friends.
While us normal folk don't have to worry about a picture being taken each time we do something questionable, stars don't have that luxury. Coming to you from various red carpet events, here are some of the more memorable awkward celebrity moments.
Jason Segal's Strut Being Interrupted By A Vacuum
When it comes to red carpet events, especially the Oscars, some things are certain to happen. One, actors are going to dazzle in gorgeous formal wear. Two, there will be more than one awkward interview. And three, more designer names will be uttered during that one event than the entire year.
But actor Jason Segel wasn't anticipating a fourth occurrence: a worker taking the time to vacuum the red carpet while the event was taking place!
Reese Witherspoon Giving Nicole Kidman A Gladiator Handshake
Reese Witherspoon is one of those celebrities that looks cute no matter what they do, including awkward situations on the red carpet. Here, the Academy Award-winning actress is seen with her Big Little Lies costar Nicole Kidman, who is laughing for a specific reason.
The reason being Witherspoon's awkward gladiator-esque handshake! Ms. Witherspoon, we promise your peer doesn't have a weapon tucked under her dress. And we know this because she's not wearing any sleeves.
David Oyelowo Not Trusting Michael Keaton's Hug
One of the more memorable red carpet moments at the 87th Annual Academy Awards was between actor David Oyelowo and Michael Keaton. Now, these two were competitors for a lot of the 2015 award season, with Oyelowo being nominated for his role in Selma and Keaton for Birdman.
But Oyelowo wasn't nominated for an Oscar, leading to the Batman actor going in for a "no hard feelings" hug and leaving photographers with this marvelously awkward picture.
Claudio Miranda's Daughter Making Tiger Faces
Nothing says "number one fan" quite like Life of Pi cinematographer Claudio Miranda's daughter, Sophia. This little girl stole the show on the 85th Annual Academy Awards red carpet. Not because she looked adorable in her pink ballerina dress, but because she proved that she was 100 percent there for her dad's Oscar nomination for best cinematography.
This little girl went all out, bringing a stuffed tiger to the ceremony while baring her teeth and "claws" for the camera. "Pi" Patel and his Bengal tiger boatmate would've been proud.
Helen Mirren Tripping At The Berlinale International Film Festival
Helen Mirren is known for a lot of things, namely the critically acclaimed films she's starred in throughout her career. But at the 65th Berlinale International Film Festival, she became known for two more things.
One being her gorgeous floor-length emerald green gown, and the second being nearly face-planting on the red carpet because of the first thing! But, as Dame Helen Mirren does, she fell with grace and poise and didn't say one bad word at the people who snapped this picture.
Alysia Reiner Having Her Train Fixed
In 2015, Orange is the New Black actress Alysia Reiner arrived on the Screen Actors Guild Awards red carpet looking stunning in a floor-length off-the-shoulder scarlet ballgown. Her hair makeup was done to perfection, and not one hair was out of place.
What was out of place, though, was the train of her mermaid-style dress! Who could forget the moment she began getting twisted up in her gown, only to have one of the ceremony workers come to her rescue? Priceless.
The South Park Creators Brought The '90s To The 2000 Oscars
It was the turn of the century, so something was going to happen during the 2000 Academy Award Ceremony. But we'll bet money no one thought that "something" was going to be Marc Shaiman and the creators of South Park dressing in some of the most memorable outfits from the '90s.
Shaiman opted for a very Justin Timberlake-esque fuzzy blue coat and hat while Matt Stone is wearing a pink dress very similar to Gwyneth Paltrow's dress from the previous year. Then, there's Trey Parker, who decided JLo's iconic green Versace dress was the way to go.
Jessica Alba Taking A Tumble At The Teen Choice Awards
Actress Jessica Alba was all over the place in the early 2000s, with her roles in Entourage, Fantastic Four, and Into the Blue. So, it was only right for her to be invited to the Teen Choice Awards in 2006, receiving a nomination for "Choice Female Hottie."
It's too bad that she's not really remembered for winning the award, and more so for falling on the award carpet before even making it inside the venue. Whoops.
Ralph Fiennes Striking A Very Un-Ralph-Fiennes-Like Pose
Ralph Fiennes is known for his incredible stage acting and serious roles in critically acclaimed films such as Schindler's List. So, when he stepped out on the EE British Academy Film Awards red carpet in 2015, his pose was pretty, shall we say, out of character!
Who would have thought the actor who plays He Who Must Not Be Named could look so posh posing in a bow tie and three-piece suit? The actor's sassy appearance is definitely one of the more memorable red carpet moments.
Jennifer Garner Catching Herself Before A Major Fall
Beautiful, classy, and always dressed to impress on the red carpet, Jennifer Garner pulled out all the stops during the 2013 Oscars. The actress looked stunning during the awards ceremony wearing a strapless merlot-colored dress with ruffle accents going down her back.
And while her entrance into the venue went off without a hitch, the same can't be said for the after-party Vanity Fair carpet. There, Garner had to catch herself before taking a tumble. Ball gowns and stilettoes aren't the best match, as it turns out.
Angelina Jolie's Infamous Hip Pop And Leg
Up next: Angelina Jolie and the famous dress slit that became a fan favorite all over the internet. While the actress looked absolutely stunning in her strapless black gown at the 84th Annual Academy Awards, it's doubtful she thought it would be one of the most memorable looks ever to grace the red carpet.
Well, more so, her hip pop and leg became more memorable than the actual garment, but that's beside the point!
Sandra Bullock Bowing To Greatness
There is a lot of hustle and bustle on the red carpet during events, especially the Oscars. So, it's amazing this little snippet of perfection was captured and frozen in time! Here, we see Best Actress nominee Sandra Bullock interrupting her interview to bow to greatness.
That greatness being none other than Dame Helen Mirren, a fellow Best Actress nominee. As it turned out, Bullock walked away with the award, winning for her role as Leigh Anne Tuohy in The Blind Side.
Scarlett Johansson Wanted Nothing To Do With John Travolta
Actors John Travolta and Scarlett Johansson are no strangers to one another, having worked on the film A Love Song for Bobby Long back in 2004. But, by the looks at this awkward red carpet moment at the 2015 Oscars, you'd think the two had never met!
With Travolta going in for the awkward cheek kiss and Johansson looking like she'd rather be anywhere else, this is definitely one of those moments people won't soon forget.
Bret McKenzie Arriving To The 2012 Oscars In Style
Honestly, only someone who can compose a song titled "Man or Muppet" would be able to pull off this epic leap on the Academy Award ceremony red carpet. And here we have Bret McKenzie at the ceremonies 84th event, acting as though he's on stage with The Who.
He has reason to celebrate, though, since his song from The Muppets was nominated for Best Song. McKenzie wound up walking away with the win that year.
Benedict Cumberbatch Photobombing U2
While most people are formal and professional during red carpet events, Benedict Cumberbatch isn't most people. At the 86th Annual Academy Awards ceremony in 2014, The Imitation Game actor decided he wanted to put acting on the back burner and become part of a band.
The band in question was none other than the popular Irish rock band U2. And what better way to join a band than photobombing their very nice group photo on the red carpet?
Meryl Streep's Face When She's A Best Actress Nominee
Although the wonderful talents of Meryl Streep have been recognized numerous times, starting in 1978 with her first Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress, it doesn't mean she can't celebrate her success on the red carpet!
Looking like a classic beauty in her blouse and long skirt combination, Streep went into the 86th Academy Award ceremony with yet another nomination under her belt. And, looking at this picture, it's clear she was very excited about the honor.
Jessie Graff Proves You Can Karate Kick In A Gown
Usually sporting workout attire, stuntwoman Jessie Graff shows that no matter what she's wearing, she's still able to take on anyone. Honestly, who else is able to make a karate kick look flawless while wearing a ball gown and high heels?
Answer: only Jessie Graff and the 2016 Creative Arts Emmy Awards. Photographers see a lot of things on the red carpet, but this kick was probably a memorable first for them.
Ariel Winter Trying Not To Bare It All
While Modern Family star Ariel Winter looked gorgeous in her gladiator-style gown on the Emmy's carpet, she did run into a bit of a wardrobe malfunction while walking!
Here, she is seen trying to hold the two sides of the skirt down, so she doesn't accidently flash the photographers and any innocent bystanders. Since it didn't make frontpage news, it is safe to say she succeeded in not baring it all during the award's show.
The Ladies Of Little Women Excited To See Their On-Screen Mom
After working on a film for months on end, it must be strange not seeing castmates every day. So, it was precious watching this red carpet moment between the cast of Little Women. The four "little women" were posing for the cameras when their on-screen mom walked onto the red carpet.
As you can probably tell from their facial expressions, Emma Watson, Florence Pugh, Eliza Scanlen, and Saoirse Ronan were beyond excited to see Laura Dern.
Katie Holmes Early 2000s Dress And Jeans Combo
Actress Katie Holmes made a grave error on the iHeart Radio Jingle Ball red carpet. For the event, she dressed in what can only be described as a style from the early 2000s — a dress over jeans.
To add insult to injury, Holmes wore baggy jeans and a pair of sneakers! This look is something most people want to forget ever happened in the world of fashion, and bringing it back was not a smart move on the actress's part. It was just uncomfortable for everyone involved.
Model Elsa Hosk Dropping An Earring
Model Elsa Hosk proved she's human when she dropped an earring on the red carpet during the 2019 Venice Film Festival. She was an absolute star during the situation, though.
Hosk didn't ask for help. Instead, she bent down in her large heels and picked the earring up herself, all while smiling through the situation!
Bella Hadid Had A Close Call With A High Slit
Although we can't speak from personal experience, there's a lot going on once you start walking the red carpet! Photographers snap photos, using their flash from every angle while ladies need to be mindful of their steps with their formal stiletto's, long gowns, and trains.
Model Bella Hadid wore a daring red dress with a high slit to Cannes Film Festival in 2016 and almost had a slip-up. A regular on the runway, Hadid recovered and carried on with her night!
The Hunger Games Cast Figuring Out How To Take A Picture
An actress with more than one memorable moment on the red carpet is Jennifer Lawrence, especially when her friends are involved. And when those friends just so happen to be Hunger Games costars Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson, all bets are off.
At this red carpet event, Hutcherson and Lawrence turn into feuding siblings, trying to figure out how to either take a picture or hug while Hemsworth does nothing more than laugh. This, folks, is friendship at its finest.
Janelle Monáe Not-So-Subtly Showing Off Her Rings
A lot of people watch the red carpet arrivals to see the stunning outfits the celebrities wear. And while interviews are usually centered around designers and "what the actors are wearing," none typically show off their jewelry in such a not-so-subtle manner.
Then, there's musician/actress Janelle Monáe and her numerous rings that she just had to show off to the cameras! The staged startled look is just pretentious enough that it became something to remember.
Angelina Jolie's Horrible Hair Extensions
Everyone has a bad hair day every so once in a while. But when it came to Angelina Jolie's hair extensions at the premiere of Eternals, the internet could not look away.
The very blatant extension was hard to look away from and screamed, "someone is so getting fired after she gets home."
Björk Casually Dressing Like A Swan At The Oscars
Yes, bad fashion days happen but that doesn't mean people walk around dressed in a literal swan gown. The Icelandic Björk had a different idea, though, dressing like a swan at the Oscars (of all events!)
She looks like she dressed herself for the occasion, jumping into her Halloween stash. Since the red carpet appearance, it has become an iconic look.
Annalynne Mccord Checking Her Phone
Nowadays, a lot of people can't go one second without checking their cellphone. As it so happens, neither can celebrities! Or, at least this is the case with Beverly Hills 90210 star Annalynne Mccord.
She made a silly face at the photographer on the red carpet while checking her phone!
Jennifer Lawrence Hugging Her Co-Stars On The Carpet
Honestly, sometimes it is hard to remember celebrities are people too, with friends.
Here, Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, and Liam Hemsworth showed their friendship on the red carpet, smiling while giving each other a huge hug on the red carpet during the International Rome Film Festival premiere of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.
Emma Thompson Taking A Tumble
Hey, kneeling for an extended period of time is no easy task. Add in the difficultly of putting two hands in a block of wet cement, and it becomes even more difficult!
Here, Emma Thompson proves she is just a normal human, taking a bit of a tumble after taking her hands out of her hand and footprint ceremony at the Chinese Theater.
Liang Jingke Falling During The Venice Film Festival
A long, tight dress is no joke. They are very difficult to walk in and even more challenging to make look graceful while doing so. Here, actress Liang Jingke walked on the red carpet at the Venice Film Festival in a gorgeous green gown.
However, the sheer tightness of the dress had Jingke going down!
Kristen Stewart Getting Fed Up With Her Heels
The Cannes Film Festival has a dress code, with one rule being women need to wear proper footwear. Well, the people who made those rules should try walking in heels for hours and then up a staircase!
Actress Kristen Stewart said enough is enough and took her shoes off in the middle of the red carpet! She then proceeded to carry them!
Hayden Panettiere Knowing She's About To Go Down
During the 2014 Met Gala, actress Hayden Panettiere wore a stunning gown for the theme "Charles James: Beyond Fashion." Sadly, the dress did her no favors when it came to the iconic Met Gala staircase.
The large skirt was clearly difficult to walk in if this picture of Panettiere's face says anything! It was the moment she knew she was going down!
Michael Cera Doing Michael Cera Things
Michael Cera is known for his quirky characters. And, if this picture says anything, it is that he is more alike to his characters than people probably thought! Actress Catalina Sandino hugs Cera while trying to give him a kiss.
Being the awkward guy that he is, Cera weirdly pulls away, allowing the photographer to get this oh-so-human shot of the two actors.
Adam Levine Shielding His Wife's Wardrobe Malfunction
Wardrobe malfunctions are bound to happen, especially when the dress in question is very tiny on top. Well, this is exactly what happened to Adam Levine's wife, model Behati Prinsloo during the red carpet event prior to the 2015 Vanity Fair Oscar Party.
Levine did his husbandly duty and shielded his lady from cameras!
Amy Schumer Getting Close And Personal With The Red Carpet
Comedian Amy Schumer is not known for being discreet. So, who knows if this photo was meant to be funny, or she actually tripped, fell, and got close and personal with the red carpet during the 2015 Time 100 Gala.
Either way, it makes for a funny and memorable picture!
Marion Cotillard Picking Up Her Earring
Sadly, photographers weren't able to snap a forward-facing picture of actress Marion Cotillard picking her earring up off the 2018 Cannes Film Festival red carpet, but that doesn't make it any less awkwardly hilarious!
With the help of a co-star, Cotillard tries her best to make bending over look graceful. She gets a solid "A" for effort.
Vitalii Sediuk Getting Pulled Away By Security
Nothing really says "awkward red carpet moment that is very memorable," quite like comedian Vitalii Sediuk getting pulled away by event security. During the premiere of How To Train Your Dragon at the Cannes Film Festival, he opted to grab onto actress America Ferrera's dress.
As it turns out, that is a big no-no and gets you pulled away by security!
Rihanna's Dress Getting Ripped By Stella McCartney
Celebrities are known to dress to impress during the Met Gala, and the 2014 event was no different. Sadly, Rihanna had no idea her dress was going to be getting up close and personal with Stella McCartney's black pumps.
Here, a photographer captured the hilarious moment where the two stars realize they're in a bit of a pickle.
Emma Stone Knocking Out Her La La Land Director
During the 73rd Venice Film Festival, Emma Stone showed just how funny, relatable, and quirky she truly is. On the red carpet, she went in to hug La La Land director Damien Chazelle.
By the looks of this photograph, it looks like Stone knocked him right on the side of the head!
Virginie Efira Getting Her Show Fixed
Actress Virginie Efira proved she is just a normal person during the screening of Sibyl at the 72nd annual Cannes Film Festival in 2019. There, she had a bit of an issue with her footwear.
Efria literally sat down on the red carpet stairs at the event and had someone come and fix her shoe!
Adele Exarchopoulos Having A Shoe Issue
During the 2019 Cannes Film Festival, French actress Adele Exarchopoulos showed that high heels are no laughing matter. Wearing a gorgeous gown, Exarchopoulos bends over and takes off her shoe for all to see.
Hey, after walking around wearing those all night, who can blame the actress for wanting a little reprieve!
Bella Hadid Showed More Than Anticipated
Although it speaks to Bella Hadid's qualifications as a model that she was able to keep this dress together in most pictures from the Cannes red carpet in 2017, the gown's designers did her no favors in terms of comfort or practicality here.
If she positioned herself in certain ways, the dress's design had a tendency to leave her underwear exposed. As is clear from this photo of her adjusting the bust, that's not all the garment threatened to expose.
There's A Reason Emily Blunt Looks So Shocked
While at an Oppenheimer photocall in London in 2023, Emily Blunt experienced a sudden wardrobe malfunction. According to Buzzfeed, Blunt's Dolce & Gabbana suit suddenly popped open, which is why co-star Florence Pugh had her hand on her chest.
The two endearingly laughed off the awkward moment together as Pugh helped hold the jacket in place. Robert Downey Jr. also intervened after a moment, blocking the two actresses and saying, "Wardrobe malfunction! No pictures!"
Sacha Baron Cohen Committed But This Didn't Go To Plan
For anyone wondering what Ryan Seacrest was so upset about during this red-carpet event at the 84th annual Academy Awards, it wasn't just that Sacha Baron Choen came in character to promote his movie The Dictator. Instead, it has to do with the urn he was carrying.
According to Marie Claire, Cohen spilled ashes from this urn on Seacrest's suit while the television personality was interviewing him. Seacrest later said that Cohen apologized because he had meant to spill them on George Clooney.
Vitalii Sediuk Strikes Again
Although comedian and prankster Vitalii Sediuk caused enough of a stir to get pulled away by security after grabbing America Ferrera's dress at the 67th Cannes Film Festival, that wasn't the only stunt he pulled that year.
A few months earlier, he attended the 20th annual Screen Actor's Guild Awards and latched onto Bradley Cooper's legs like a child who tells their parent they don't want to get on the school bus. Since Cooper and Michael Pena seemed to find the antics more amusing than concerning, perhaps Sediuk was emboldened to try his luck again later.
This Wasn't Cameron Diaz Making A Fashion Statement
During the 2003 premiere of Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle at Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles, Cameron Diaz was photographed barefoot. This wasn't a deliberate move on her part but rather the result of a wardrobe malfunction that had occurred earlier.
According to L'Officiel, both of Diaz's shoes broke just moments before she stepped onto the red carpet. That's a rotten stroke of luck, as it's hard to imagine the theatre's floors being very comfortable.
Kaley Cuoco Regretted These Bangs In A Major Way
While attending the 19th annual Screen Actor's Guild Awards, Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco turned up in a lovely red dress. However, there was something about her appearance that day that seemed off, and it was the clip-on bangs she was sporting.
Sadly, Cuoco seemed more embarrassed by the bangs than anyone years later, as she told People, "Literally, I look at pictures and I'm like, 'That was the worst decision I have ever made.' It just did not work. It looked so fake." That said, if a hairstyle is a person's worst mistake, things must be going pretty well.
Did Jenna Ortega Know How Those Even Got There?
During the Scream VI premiere in 2023, co-star Jenna Ortega turned up in a fashionable Jean Paul Gaultier ensemble with a simple but effective black-and-white color scheme. There was just one problem: Those didn't turn out to be the only colors included.
That's because the area covering the right side of her chest somehow picked up a couple of stains from a blue Sharpie. Ortega later tagged designer Olivier Rousteing in an Instagram post showing the outfit off, adding the hashtag "#imsosorryolivier."
At Least Margot Robbie Had A Little Help
While attending the United Kingdom premiere of the 2016 movie The Legend Of Tarzan, Margot Robbie seemed to experience a misbehaving zipper at the back of her Miu Miu dress. As her facial expression suggests, this made for a slightly embarrassing moment for the Australian actress.
However, her situation didn't stay awkward for long. Her co-star Alexander Skarsgård quickly stepped in and fixed the problem for her. Teamwork just doesn't happen during the actual filming, folks.
Emma Watson's Dress Didn't Take The Rain Well
While attending the premiere of Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince at London's Leicester Square, Hermione actress Emma Watson made her way toward the doors in a gray dress with ornate patterns. However, it seems that dealing with the rain that day made it harder to notice what that dress was doing.
While she and an assistant handled her umbrella, it opened up to reveal her underwear. According to L'Officiel, Watson addressed this awkward moment on The Late Show With David Letterman, telling the host "At least I was wearing underwear."
Amanda Seyfried Missed An Unfortunate Detail
When Mean Girls actress Amanda Seyfried was selecting her wardrobe for the film's 2004 premiere in New York City, she likely believed this see-through black dress looked quite "fetch." While that may be true, there was one detail she hadn't considered until it was too late.
Namely, she decided to pair the dress with a white bra and detailed underwear, which became a little too obvious once the cameras started flashing. Years later, she said on Jimmy Kimmel Live that she didn't have a stylist at the time, who likely would have recommended a slip to go over her undergarments.
Kim Kardashian's Flour Incident Wasn't What It Seemed
According to Marie Claire, this photo of Kim Kardashian on the red carpet at the True Reflection perfume launch in 2012 saw her suddenly covered in flour by a mysterious interloper. She referred to this incident as "crazy" and "unexpected," speculating that it was an anti-fur protest.
However, her former media strategist Sheeraz Hasan stated in a documentary about the socialite family that the incident wasn't quite as unexpected for Kardashian as she let on. Instead, Hasan said the flour dumping had been staged.
Hugh Grant's Premiere Quickly Turned Weird
While Hugh Grant was attending the Dutch premiere of the 2007 movie Music And Lyrics in Amsterdam, a mysterious woman pushed past security and handcuffed herself to the actor. Although Cosmopolitan explained that the woman turned out to be the host of a Dutch prank TV show, she was seriously committed to the bit.
That's because she hadn't brought the key when she cuffed herself to Grant, which meant that had to wait together until police arrived to unlock the handcuffs. She spent just two hours in jail for the stunt.
Ashley Tisdale Needed To Rotate Her Stylists
Even in the context of 2000s fashion, this ensemble Ashely Tisdale wore to the 2004 premiere of The Incredibles was pretty out there. That's an opinion she would express her agreement with in an interview with People Style years later.
She described the outfit as a "really weird pink camo skirt and this pink furry thing." Although she was excited to wear it at the time, she eventually took it as a lesson not to use the same stylist who dresses your character on a children's TV show for professional events.
Only Minnie Driver's Quick Thinking Made This Look Normal
At first glance, this red carpet photo from the 70th Academy Awards doesn't capture anything unusual. Minnie Driver's smiling pulling an imitation fur stole over her red dress. However, it would have been a very different photo just a few seconds earlier.
As Driver explained to Hollywood.com, her dress fell off her shoulders after she put her hand on her hip, and she used the stole to cover up the wardrobe malfunction. As she put it, "Nobody knows that it was just my dress had fallen off, and probably if they had got a few frames before, you totally would have seen my boobs."
What Did Machine Gun Kelly Eat Before This Picture?
By the time they appeared together at the 2021 Billboard Music Awards, Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox had already established themselves as an odd couple filled with crazy stories about each other. So seeing them making out like this on the red carpet wasn't exactly unprecedented.
However, there was one little detail about this particular outing that was much odder to behold. It appeared that the rapper turned rocker had dyed his tongue black before he and Fox turned up to the event. That couldn't have tasted good for anyone involved.
Jessica Chastain and Oscar Isaac Got A Little Too Friendly
Whether romance was in the air at the 78th Venice International Film Festival or they were still in character after starring in Scenes From A Marriage together, Jessica Chastain and Oscar Isaac seemed to get unusually close at the event.
It's not uncommon for co-stars to exchange hugs or even affectionate little pecks when they get comfortable with each other, but the way these two held each other's faces and the way Isaac kissed Chastain's arm seemed a little more intimate than usual. That's especially true since they were (and remain) married to other people.
Contrary To Popular Belief, This Isn't Jason Derulo
This unknown intruder at the 64th annual Cannes Film Festival made headlines by tumbling on the stairs when security guards grabbed him to prevent him from crashing the event. However, some headlines were rather confused because a rumor somehow circulated to suggest that this was pop singer Jason Derulo falling down the stairs at the Met Gala.
According to Cosmopolitan, a confused Derulo had to clarify multiple times that he wasn't at the Met Gala that year, nor did he fall down any stairs. In one case, he even had to reassure his concerned grandmother.
Amanda Seyfried's Dress Didn't Always Look Like This
Although the Christian Dior gown Amanda Seyfried wore to the 2023 Critics' Choice Awards had always featured an unusual and ambitious cut, it turned out that the dress was keen to make some alterations of its own as the evening progressed.
According to L'Officiel, that's because the gown was ripping and breaking apart as Seyfried was wearing it. By the time she spoke to Access Hollywood that night, the sleeves kept falling down.
A Little Too Much Bronzer For Selena Gomez
While she attended the 2018 Met Gala, Selena Gomez's skin tone appeared a bit darker than usual, which made her look downright orange by the time the night was over. Apparently, the pop star was aware of how out-of-control her tanning lotion was getting that evening.
As she told Vogue, "It looked really beautiful and very even. As the evening kept going on, it was getting a little darker and darker." It's too bad it didn't stay the way it looked when she put it on.
